KING Metrics
Estimating the potential CO2 emissions of a fossil fuel project is easy. Below you find a table that can help calculate them. The Keep it in the Ground (KING) Movement works to keep millions of tons of CO2 in the ground. With this method which we call “KING Metrics” it becomes easy to quantify how much.
You need to find out the size or capacity of the project in question in one of the commonly mentioned formats below (kbpd, bcm, tcf, mt, bbl, boe, etc.) and then multiply that with the factor in the tables below to arrive at potential emissions in million tons of CO2.
